Trained as a mathematician and philosopher, artistic-director Anna Jewsbury – who founded the London-based brand in 2013 - imbues the brand’s work with a convention-defying aesthetic and concept-led approach that takes notions of timelessness left-of-field and disrupts any clear distinction between accessory and art. Concentrating on shifts in form, pattern and texture, pieces are designed to be light yet voluminous; exaggerated without moving beyond the delicate. Experimenting with the traditions of sculpture sinuous pearl earrings and gold vermeil necklaces weave, loop, twist, fold and expand, in so doing finding a meditative balance and exploring broader questions about the human condition
