When you love something, you don't throw it away or replace it. You mend it. We can lovingly renew and restore sterling silver and gold vermeil jewellery - just like my grandparent's mended my clothes for me when I was a child.
Completedworks jewellery is designed with longevity in mind and we highly encourage you to send it back to us for repair or refurbishment if it loses its lustre or needs restoring.

How to take care of your silver and plated jewellery
Remember to always put your jewellery on last - after moisturiser, make-up and perfume - to avoid contact with these products. Counterintuitively, wearing your pieces regularly can actually help prevent tarnish building up. But remember to remove before exercise, showering, swimming, washing hands etc. And for storage, try an air tight jewellery box if you can, making sure the jewellery is completely dry before storing away.
How to clean your jewellery
Specialist silver polishing cloths are great for non-plated jewellery but for plated pieces, the specialist cloths can remove plating with repeated use so a better option is a plain microfibre cloth.
How to store your jewellery
The best way to store silver and plated jewellery is in an air tight container, ideally with dividers to separate each piece from each other so scratches don't occur. Try to avoid extreme temperatures and humidity if you can - if you live in a humid climate we recommend placing a small packet of desiccant crystals in your jewellery box alongside the jewellery.
Renewing scratches and minor damage
Small scratches, broken posts, missing stones - these can also be easily repaired - so they can last a life time and become heirlooms.
We can also replate your jewellery for you with a fresh layer of gold if it has started to fade: please contact us to book this service.
