Completedworks at Silverhouse in Selfridges

 

From 7 September - 3 October 2026, Completedworks presents a dedicated homeware installation at Selfridges London, in the Silverhouse on Lower Ground.

The installation explores the aesthetic juxtapositions that have become central to Completedworks' practice, first expressed through metal and later extended into ceramic and glass.

This tension is particularly present in Completedworks' approach to glassware. By taking a traditional medium and placing it in an unexpected context, the brand challenges the qualities conventionally associated with glass: permanence, rigidity and solidity. Instead, its vessels often appear caught in a moment of movement or transition, as though frozen midway between one state and another.

The idea of transformation takes on further meaning through the use of reclaimed bottle and window glass. Here, the transition is both visual and literal: a discarded or broken object is returned to a molten state, reshaped and given an entirely new life. The material carries traces of its history without allowing that history to determine its future.

For the Silverhouse pop-up at Selfridges, these ideas converge in a deliberately surreal domestic landscape, where softness can be hard, permanence can appear fluid, and everyday objects are transformed into something less certain. Through shifts in material, form and perception, Completedworks invites viewers to reconsider the familiar and discover beauty in the space between what an object is and what it appears to be.
