What does Christmas dinner look like for you?
"Chaotic"
Home or away for the holidays?
"Home. I would also be very happy holed up at Therme Vals, in Switzerland. If I were there, I’d be in the outdoor pool under one of the large brass taps, smoothing hot water over my head, looking up at the mountains. It would be snowing."
Last gift you gave?
"Topped up my daughter’s Go Henry so she could buy more lip oils.."
What’s your most special holiday memory?
"Christmas Eve 2007, Patagonia. Tearing through a monkey puzzle forest on horseback feeling exhilarated and terrified. I’d just got married."
What work of art made you see things differently?
"Seeing Rineke Djkstra’s portraits of women after giving birth, in the late 90’s. Up to that point, I hadn’t connected to feminine beauty in a way that wasn’t nostalgic or superficial."
Most memorable show or exhibition you’ve seen in 2024?
"Crystal Pite & Jonathon Young’s Assembly Hall at Sadlers Wells. It expressed all the fucked-up-ness and beauty of the world with a uniqueness and tenderness that was profoundly moving."

Husband Number Six? Tree Ornaments - Set of 3 Bio Resin Baubles in Pearlescent White / Pink
"Every year the same two friends come over to decorate the Christmas tree with us. He brings champagne, and she usually brings some kind of boob-themed bauble. I think some pearls would probably go with them nicely."
Lunchbox - Blue Resin and Black Leather Clutch Bag
"I’d rename it Dinnerboxbaggie and fill it with spicy cashews, tissues and a lipstick. I’d take it to the Opera, under my tuxedo’d arm, and nonchalantly swish it around a bit in front of everyone during the interval."
The Depths of Time - Green Chalcedony and Recycled Gold Vermeil Necklace
"Chalcedony is known for its smooth, waxy luster and comes in many colours including green”. Yum. To match the Zihuatanejan sea in Mexico. I will wear it with a black bandeau bikini under a crisp white tailored shirt (West Indian Sea Island Cotton Turnbull and Asser) and some old Penn flip flops."
