Director of Frieze London Eva Langret shares her holiday wishlist!

Home or away for the festive season?
"At home first with my London family then in Paris with my Parisian family."

What does Christmas dinner look like for you?
"I'm not a great cook but I've ended up hosting Christmas dinner for the past few years. My expectations are higher than my abilities, so this means a lot of painful prep and a string of inventible mistakes and kitchen dramas. But it always ends up working out in the end and my family is forgiving."

Thoughts on Mistletoe?
"Never had much luck kissing under the mistletoe."

Most memorable show or exhibition you've seen in 2024?
"I see so much, it is difficult to pick only one. Olga de Amaral at Fondation Cartier in Paris was exceptional."

What artists are you excited about for 2025?

What piece of art made you see things differently?

"I can't think of specific artworks but there is a long list of exhibitions that have had a long lasting impact on me. For instance Okwui Enwezor's Venice Biennale of 2015 'All the World's Future' and more recently Cecilia Alemani's Venice Biennale of 2022 'The Milk of Dreams' were profoundly inspiring."

One thing you're leaving in 2024?

"FOMO. I'm officially cured of this disease."

Eva's Curated Selections

Bend in the River - Gold Vermeil Ear Cuff

"This is a gorgeous piece that hits the perfect balance between the minimalist simplicity of the thing gold hoop and maximalist impulse of an infinite curve coiling around one's ear."

Tra‐la‐la - Pearl and Gold Vermeil Earrings

"How could I not? An instant classic that will never go out of style."

Lunchbox - Lime Resin and Black Leather Clutch Bag

"So cute! I love the unexpected texture contrast between the artificial feel of the resin, and the natural softness of the leather. The neon-hued handle adds a futuristic touch to this chic little number."

Cumulus - Pearl and Gold Vermeil Ear Cuff

"The Ebb collection has so many options of ornate, delicate earrings and also feels 'modular and fun - many designers can be worn together. I'd have a lot of fun mixing and matching. The clustering of smaller and larger pearls feels delicate and natural, I love these earrings for their modern and unconventional take one the classic pearl earring."
